Samantha Locock a feminine presenting person with long brown hair and a grey topposes in front of dark background

Samantha (Sam-E… not Sam, never Sam) has produced work funded by BFI Network, Art Fund, BFI x BMW Filmmaking Challenge, and British Council. Working with companies and brands such as: Deloitte, BrandAlley, Red Bull, Avanti West Coast, Nike x Vogue, Digital Learning Associates, Lumina, and Tickmill.

She is a filmmaker specialising in an array of short forms including narrative, corporate, music promo and podcasts. She loves to produce work that deals with what makes us human, with a focus on underrepresented voices. Samantha is autistic, has ADHD and ME/CFS so it’s important for her that characters like her are shown on screen and are given opportunities behind the camera too.

Samantha has been developing her production slate of short films which champion underrepresented voices and stories, including the following currently in the festival run and all BAFTA/BIFA-qualifying: SCOPE (dir. Emma Moffat) - Best Thriller winner at Aesthetica Film Festival 2025, SKIN DEEP (dir. Hector Bell), and BFI Network-funded MEAT RAFFLE (dir. Stuart Armstrong). As well as her first comedy short BIFA-qualiying: THE BIRTH OF A MALL GOTH. Her second comedy short PARASOCIAL has just started its festival run, alongside BFI Network-funded IN DREAMING (dir. Kristina Pringle).

She is in prep for Screen Cornwall backed MORVOREN (dir. Katie Burdon).

I AM Not currently taking on any more short films as a producer x
